Annual refresher courses such as this one are not meant to replace the statutory HSE Approved First Aid at Work classroom courses. The HSE strongly recommends that an annual refresher course be taken by first-aiders in any workplace throughout Great Britain. Because it is not an HSE requirement, this course is sufficient to satisfy the recommendation without specific approval from the HSE.
Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first-aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first aid procedures.
