Adult Choking Becoming Unconscious Training Summary:
Once a choking victim becomes unconscious, activate EMS. Start CPR from the chest compression stage. When you start the breaths, check for any objects in the patient's mouth, sweep out if possible by turning the patient on their side, avoid "blind finger sweeps" as this could force the object further down the thoat. Attempt two breaths. If there is no chest rise and fall, then move on to chest compressions immediately. Perform 30 chest compressions, check for the object again, and check for any visible obstructions.
