Epilepsy Training Summary:
If someone is having a seizure, you do not always have to call EMS. Protect the patient's head and neck from hitting objects or the ground. Do not try to completely immobilise the patient and do not place anything in the patient's mouth. Once the seizure has stopped, airway, breathing, and circulation can be assessed. Then, place the patient in the recovery position. Sometimes the EMS will need to be called.
