Spinal Injury Training Summary:
If you find someone and suspect that they may possibly have a spinal injury, whenever possible do not move them. Keep the victim in the same position that you found them in and tell them not to move or shake their head. Reassure the patient and place one hand on either side of the head, taking care not to cover the ears. Stay with the victim and assist the Emergency Medical Services. If a patient with a suspected spinal injury is face down and not breathing, use the log roll to turn them over.
